Letter 20 : Sing

Hi Tim. We're gonna have a singing competition in a several days. Summer chose a Japanese song for us to practice. First of all, I have to say it's god dam hard. You don't even understand the lyrics but you have to somehow memorize the whole song. Second, I always get confused with the pronunciation of Japanese. For example, te is pronounced as de. And also, our volleyball team made it to the national competition! We'll go to Pintung during 4/20 ~ 4/24 and wish us the best luck.

    Ericson,
    Good luck on both the singing and on the vollyball competitions. If you are a really bad singer, (I am) the way to fake it and not ruin it for everybody else is just to move your mouth without actually saying any words. As long as most of the class is singing, you can usually get away with this.
    How is it going with the class basketball team? I know that some of the girls are just waiting for you to ask. They are not going to volunteer, but probably will agree IF YOU ASK.
    So you'll just have to stick up your courage a little, and go ask. Maybe Melvyn or Hugo could help you.
