Hi Tim, we have a basketball competition in April and I'm kind of in charge of it. But the problem is, there are only six boys in our class and four of them can barely play. And also, it's 5 vs 5 so if to of them are injured, we can't possibly win the game. The only hope is the girls because we have four who are in the basketball team.
This week during English class, Summer let us watch the first episode of nosedive. It's a TV series which is about how people give scores to others by just looking at them at first sight. A woman was 4 out of five at the beginning, but she wanted a higher rate so she went to her friend's wedding in order to get five star rates from high quality people. But things didn't go right so in the end she became a 0.
Ericson,
ReplyDeleteThe solution sounds easy enough to me. Play the girls! You're probably not going to get a lot of rebounds (unless Melvyn is your center) so you're going to have to play a very fast paced game, with a lot of passing, and a lot of outside shooting. if some of the girls are good 3-point shooters, that would be great. I would stick with a zone defense, rather than play man to man.
Go on the internet and see if you can find a video clip of "Navajo basketball". The Navajo are very famous for playing a very fast, very aggressive style, in part because the don't have any tall players.
Good luck! please let me know how it goes.
Tim
Ericson,
ReplyDeleteHow is it going with recruiting the girls to your basketball team? Who are the girls that COULD play? When is your tournament?
Tim
